Uzbek specialists to be trained in hotel management according to Austrian standards

Specialists and trainers from Uzbekistan will be trained in modern hotel management methods according to Austrian standards. A corresponding agreement was signed in Vienna by the Agency for Professional Education of Uzbekistan and the Austrian IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems.

The training of specialists will be organized on the basis of Technical School No. 1 of the Chartak district and the Bukhara Technical School of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

During the visit, the Uzbek delegation also familiarized themselves with the Austrian professional education system. In particular, the parties discussed the dual training model, financing mechanisms for technical colleges, the involvement of employers in specialist training, and the subsequent employment of graduates.

Earlier, Uzbekistan assumed the chairmanship of the CIS Tourism Council for 2026–2027. Among its priorities, the republic highlighted the training of qualified personnel for the industry and the expansion of cooperation between specialized educational institutions.
