Uzbek citizens in critical situation in Istanbul repatriated

Citizens of Uzbekistan who found themselves in a difficult situation in Istanbul were returned to their countries. This was reported by the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.

According to the Consulate General, the situation of citizens named A.A. and B.D., who found themselves in a difficult socio-financial situation in Turkey, was investigated. As a result of the investigation, it was revealed that they were left without documents due to the fact that they had given their personal documents, in particular, civil passports, to third parties.

In this regard, in cooperation with the Migration Agency, these citizens were provided with the necessary consular and organizational assistance, and air tickets were purchased for their return to Uzbekistan.

In its message, the Consulate General warned citizens, noting that "In no case should you give civil passports to other persons, take care of the documents and use them only for legal purposes."

Earlier, it was reported that during the first seven months of 2026, a total of 2,888 citizens of Uzbekistan who found themselves in difficult situations abroad were repatriated by the Migration Agency. A total of 9 billion 936 million soums were spent from the Migration Fund for these purposes.
