The Migration Agency announced how many people were returned to Uzbekistan in 7 months

According to the Migration Agency, in the first seven months of this year, 2,888 citizens of Uzbekistan who were in critical condition abroad were repatriated to their homeland. The agency's press service reported this on August 11.
A total of 9 billion 936 million soums were spent from the Migration Fund for transport, medical, organizational and other necessary expenses related to the return of these citizens.
The categories of returned citizens are as follows:
* 1,306 - persons experiencing financial difficulties;
* 518 - women with children;
* 1,022 - children.
Also, 42 citizens were brought by special medical transport (in bed), and 15 citizens who needed medical observation were repatriated under the supervision of doctors from the Ministry of Health.
For example, a man who went to St. Petersburg in 2024 to work has been cut off from his family since March 2026. As a result of the studies conducted, it was determined that his mental state had changed and that he was left unattended. He was brought home on a St. Petersburg-Tashkent flight with the support of the Migration Agency.
We recall that in July 2026, about 600 Uzbeks were repatriated from Russia. Also, on August 12, the bodies of 8 citizens killed in a drone attack in Tatarstan were brought to Uzbekistan.
