Uzbekistan's ambassadors will be directly involved in protecting the rights of citizens working abroad and helping to resolve the problems they face. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev set the relevant tasks at a meeting dedicated to labor migration issues on November 2.

One of the assistance mechanisms will be the "Online Mahalla" platform. Compatriots who find themselves in difficult situations abroad can report their problems through this system. If necessary, the ambassador of Uzbekistan in the country of their residence will personally join the problem-solving process.

The President emphasized that protecting the rights of citizens working abroad must remain a permanent duty of the state.

"All our compatriots working abroad are truly courageous people who work tirelessly to feed their families and secure their children's future," Mirziyoyev said.

Regional governors (khokims) are also tasked with the responsibility of supporting the families and parents of labor migrants, as well as creating conditions for their children to receive a quality education. Together with diplomats, they will be engaged in assisting citizens with employment abroad and adapting to new conditions.

"Not a single compatriot working abroad should be left alone with their problems," the head of state said.

The meeting also discussed preparations for the "New Uzbekistan — Crossroads of Global Opportunities" forum, scheduled to be held in Tashkent from November 30 to December 5. Representatives from 52 countries are expected to participate in it.

Mirziyoyev instructed to use the event to open new export routes and establish contacts with employers in Europe and the Middle East.

Each ambassador was tasked with attracting representatives of 50–100 major recruiting agencies and importing companies to participate in the forum.
