The United Arab Emirates has suspended trade, financial transactions, and all types of activities with Iran until further notice.

The United Arab Emirates has suspended all activities, trade and financial transactions with Iran for an indefinite period, Afra al-Hamli, director of the Strategic Communications Department at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in a written statement.

"All activities, trade and financial transactions with Iran have been suspended until further notice," she said.

Earlier, the UAE government reported that Iran had launched a missile attack on the emirate's port infrastructure. According to them, the attack did not reach its target.
