Two men distributing drugs through dead drops detained in Tashkent
In the Almazar district of Tashkent, internal affairs officers detained two men suspected of distributing drugs through hidden dead drops. This was reported by the capital's Main Department of Internal Affairs (GUVD).
The operational event was carried out in the courtyard of apartment buildings on Sebzar Street. During the search of the suspects and their Chevrolet Spark vehicle, law enforcement officers found several packages containing narcotic substances.
A check of the detainees' mobile phones showed that, according to the investigation, the men were distributing drug dead drops in the entrances of multi-story buildings. One of the hiding places was found in an electrical panel.
In total, law enforcement officers discovered and seized 50 packages of narcotic substances.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this fact under the article of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan, which provides for liability for the illegal manufacture, acquisition, storage, and sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
