The operation took place on August 3. In the Yakkasaray district, law enforcement officers detained a 33-year-old man and his 34-year-old accomplice, who had previously been charged with drug trafficking.

The arrest occurred while the men were distributing hashish through dead drops. A search of their Nexia 3 revealed 20 grams of hashish oil.

Following the arrest, law enforcement officers inspected the rented apartment, which the suspects had converted into a drug lab. A full set of equipment necessary for drug production was found inside, along with another 2 kilograms of hashish oil, marijuana, hashish, digital scales, thousands of Ziploc bags, syringes, doses of drugs ready for distribution, and other items related to illegal activity.

It was previously reported that a court fined an Afghan citizen for attempting to import hashish into Uzbekistan. The drug was discovered on him while crossing the border.
