Two people were detained in Tashkent for selling drugs via Telegram.
Recently, the spread of synthetic drugs and the organization of drug trafficking via the Internet have been increasing worldwide. Uzbekistan is also taking regular measures to combat these threats.
On August 3 of this year, operational search operations were carried out in Yashnabad and Chilanzor districts in cooperation with the Rapid Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and its territorial divisions.
During the operations, a person born in 1993 and his criminal accomplice, a person born in 1992, previously convicted under Parts 1 and 2 of Article 228 and Article 168 of the Criminal Code, were detained in Yashnabad district while distributing drugs in secret places, that is, by the "pawn" method.
When their Nexia-3 car was inspected at the scene, 20 grams of hashish oil was found and seized as material evidence.
According to information obtained prior to the investigation, the suspects have been working as warehouse workers at a drug store on the Telegram platform since 2025, distributing about 10 kilograms of various drugs every month.
During the rapid response measures, their residences were also checked. As a result, 2 kilograms of hashish oil, marijuana and hashish, as well as insulating tape and other items intended for packaging and distributing drugs were found.
As a result of this rapid response measure, which was carried out within the framework of the "Safe and Healthy Country" operational-preventive measures, a total of 2 kilograms 170 grams, or about 10,700 doses, of drugs were withdrawn from illegal circulation.
A criminal case has been initiated against the persons who committed the criminal act related to the illegal sale of drugs under Part 6 of Article 273 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
