Two batches of the drug "Cantreycol" are subject to withdrawal in Uzbekistan

In Uzbekistan, it has been ordered to cease the medical use, withdraw from circulation, and destroy two batches of the drug "Cantreycol" (Aprotinin), as they do not meet the requirements of regulatory documents based on the results of laboratory tests. This was reported by the State Institution "Center for Safety of Pharmaceutical Products" under the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.

This concerns the drug "Cantreycol" in the form of a lyophilizate for the preparation of a solution for injection with a dosage of 10,000 KIU, in packaging of No. 10 vials. The non-compliance with the requirements was established based on the results of laboratory tests of samples taken from specific batches of the medicinal product.

The samples were purchased by the center's specialists as part of control measures conducted by the post-registration supervision department of the Center for Safety of Pharmaceutical Products.

The order concerns the drug manufactured by the joint British-Georgian enterprise "Yevro Medical" (Georgia). Two batches must be withdrawn from circulation: 870725 with an expiration date until July 2028, and 791224 with an expiration date until December 2027.

Business entities engaged in the wholesale and retail sale of medicines and medical devices have been ordered to completely cease the medical use of the specified batches, withdraw them from circulation, and destroy them in accordance with the established procedure.

The Center also recalled the current requirements for the circulation of medicines. The storage or sale of medicines and medical devices without a certificate of conformity, as well as the storage and sale of drugs that do not meet quality requirements, are considered a gross violation of licensing requirements and conditions.

For such violations, the legislation provides for liability measures. In accordance with the established procedure, the license may be revoked, and administrative or criminal liability may also apply.

The Center for Safety of Pharmaceutical Products announced that it will continue control measures aimed at withdrawing the drug "Cantreycol" from circulation and ensuring compliance with the established requirements.
