“Trump administration proposed three initiatives to de-escalate the war” — Zelenskyy

Donald Trump's administration is proposing three important measures to immediately reduce the escalation of the war in Ukraine.

First and foremost, the US is proposing that Moscow and Kyiv reach an agreement to halt mutual strikes on energy infrastructure.

The second step put forward by Washington is the resumption of the Black Sea grain corridor's operation. The third proposal consists of holding trilateral negotiations involving representatives from the US, Russia, and Ukraine. Abu Dhabi has been mentioned as a potential venue for the meeting. Zelenskyy said that Kyiv would gladly agree to this proposal.

“We are open to negotiations — anywhere and in any format,” he said.

The President of Ukraine stated that the trilateral meeting could also be organized on the sidelines of the G20 summit to be held in Miami in December. According to him, this issue was discussed during his conversation with Trump. At the same time, Zelenskyy noted that he still doubts Vladimir Putin's readiness for negotiations, suggesting that the Russian president might “find some reason” to avoid the trilateral meeting.

However, the Russian side denied the report about such a meeting. The Office of the President of Ukraine also did not confirm on September 24 that such a meeting would take place.
