Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that he plans to meet with a US delegation once again by the end of September. The meeting is expected to discuss issues related to energy and food security, as well as the export of Ukrainian agricultural products.

Volodymyr Zelensky announced this to journalists on September 11 after negotiations with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
The President of Ukraine said that the next meeting with the US delegation could take place in New York within the framework of the UN General Assembly.
Zelensky stated that special attention would be paid to the issue of exporting grain and other agricultural products during the negotiations. He noted that Russia has begun to obstruct the export of Ukrainian agricultural products through the Black Sea.
At the same time, the Ukrainian leader said that Russia might intensify attacks on Ukraine against the backdrop of Kyiv's negotiations with Europe, Canada, or the US.
"Knowing Russia, I can say that when they hear we are negotiating somewhere with Europeans, Canadians, or Americans, they will try to intensify attacks against us. This is done to disrupt negotiations or any dialogue. But we will continue to move in this direction. There is no other way to stop the war," Zelensky said.
According to him, Kyiv is in daily contact with the US delegation on energy security issues while Russian forces' strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure continue.
Zelensky also stated that he does not expect serious negotiations with Moscow to begin before the State Duma elections scheduled to be held in Russia on September 18–20.
Earlier, it was reported that Washington also hopes the negotiation process will reactivate after the election campaign in Russia concludes.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump, after a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on September 9, said that Putin is ready to reach an agreement to end the war in Ukraine.
"We had a very good conversation. He wants a deal," Trump said. The US President also noted that if Volodymyr Zelensky also wants to reach an agreement, it would be "very good."
In early September, Washington reactivated its mediation efforts to resume negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow. After the US President's special envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner made another visit to Moscow, the Kremlin announced that Putin had assured Trump that he has no "aggressive plans" towards Europe.
