**Top 10 Transfers of the Week: PSG Strengthen Squad, Chelsea Loan Kazakhstan Striker**
The second half of August saw a number of notable transfers across European football clubs.
**Mika Godts**
* **Age:** 21
* **Position:** Left Winger
* **From:** Ajax
* **To:** PSG
* **Transfer Value (Transfermarkt):** €45m
After signing right winger Magnes Aklyush from Monaco earlier this month, PSG have now added another talented winger who could soon become a top player. Mika Godts has made 115 appearances for Ajax, scoring 26 goals and providing 28 assists.
He particularly shone in the 2025/26 season: in 32 matches in the Dutch championship, he scored 17 goals and made 12 assists. The Belgian player became the most productive player in the league in the “goal plus pass” system. PSG paid 45 million euros for this transfer, which could reach 55 million euros with bonuses.
Gotze was brought in to replace Bradley Barcolja, who is expected to leave Paris this summer (he is seriously interested in Liverpool). He will most likely be the second option behind Hvicha Kvaratsheliya in the first few seasons and will play mainly in domestic league matches.
**Jed Spence**
* **Age:** 26
* **Position:** Right-back
* **From:** Tottenham
* **To:** Inter
* **Transfer value:** €30m
After Denzel Dumfries left for Real Madrid, Inter were in need of a right-back – and Tottenham have found the perfect fit. Spence has stood out against his teammates with his quality play and has also shown himself to be a good fit at the 2026 World Cup. He has all the skills needed to make the Dutchman's absence felt: he works well under pressure and is often involved in attacks. Inter paid €30m for the English defender, with another €5m in add-ons.
**Ferran Torres**
* **Age:** 26
* **Position:** Striker
* **From:** Barcelona
* **To:** PSG
* **Transfer value:** €48.5 million
Torres has been playing for Barcelona since 2022 - during which time he has played in 207 matches and scored 65 goals. The striker, who scored the winning goal for Spain in the World Cup final in the North Sea, was brought in by the Parisians to replace Gonzalo Ramos, who was transferred to Milan this summer. That is, he will now be the team's main central striker and, unlike at Barcelona, will have enough playing practice.
**Cristian Romero**
* **Age:** 28
* **Position:** Central defender
* **From:** Tottenham
* **To:** Atletico Madrid
* **Transfer fee:** €40m
The Argentine defender fell out with Tottenham at the end of last season after returning home rather than recovering from an injury. He has now joined an almost ideal team for him - a team with many Argentine players and managed by the Argentine for many years. Christian is sharp, aggressive and used to playing on the edge of the box - players like Diego Simeone. Romero joined Tottenham in 2021 and has received six red cards in all competitions in his five seasons in England. No other player in the Premier League has been sent off more times in that time. Romero has signed a five-year contract with Atletico.
**Doston Satpayev**
* **Age:** 18
* **Position:** Striker
* **From:** Chelsea
* **To:** Burnley
* **Transfer Value:** Loan
Chelsea reached an agreement to buy Satpayev from Kairat in February 2025, but the deal only came into effect when the forward turned 18. This summer, the Kazakhstani player signed a contract with the Londoners until 2033.
Doston has already played for Chelsea on tours of Australia and Asia, making four appearances and scoring a goal against Western Sydney Wanderers. He will now spend the coming season on loan at Burnley. In the Championship, Doston can feel the atmosphere of real English football.
**Romelu Lukaku**
* **Age:** 33
* **Position:** Striker
* **From:** Napoli
* **To:** Fenerbahce
* **Transfer value:** €6 million
The Belgian forward played just seven games for Napoli in all competitions last season, scoring just one goal. He missed most of the season due to injury, but managed to recover in time for the World Cup and showed that he is still in good shape.
Now Lukaku has joined Fenerbahce for €6 million. Given the player's age, difficult post-season situation and large salary, this is a big risk for the Turkish club. On the other hand, Lukaku can still be a top scorer in the Super League.
**Dušan Vlahović**
* **Age:** 26
* **Position:** Striker
* **From:** Juventus
* **To:** Besiktas
* **Transfer value:** Free agent
The Serbian striker spent most of the transfer window awaiting offers from top clubs, but no club was found that could meet the financial demands of the 26-year-old forward. In the end, Vlahović also continued his career in Turkey.
Besiktas acquired Dušan as a free agent, Juventus transferred him from Fiorentina 4.5 years ago for 70 million euros, as well as another 10 million euros in agency fees and bonuses, and the player himself was paid another 77 million euros during this period. In the end, the player, who spent 162 million euros, left the club for free. According to unofficial data, the player also earns around 7.5-8 million euros per year in Istanbul.
Vlahovic scored 10 goals and provided two assists in 23 games in all competitions in the 2025/26 season. Therefore, it is too early to write him off.
**Nauel Molina**
* **Age:** 28
* **Position:** Right-back
* **From:** Atletico Madrid
* **To:** Roma
* **Transfer value:** 13 million euros
Molina played 26 games in La Liga last season. The Argentine defender has played a total of 181 games for Atletico Madrid in the past four seasons, scoring nine goals and providing 17 assists. Molina has played in Italy before, having started his European career with Udinese. He has made 65 appearances for Argentina, winning the 2022 World Cup and the Copa America in 2021 and 2024.
Roma have now paid €13m for the player, with Atletico set to receive a further €10m in bonuses.
**Ousmane Diomande**
* **Age:** 22
* **Position:** Central defender
* **From:** Sporting
* **To:** Nottingham Forest
* **Transfer fee:** €40m
Nottingham Forest have secured the promising defender, who has made 132 appearances for Sporting over the past three and a half seasons, helping the club win two Portuguese league titles. The English club paid a reported €40 million for the Ivorian.
Diomande has yet to make his debut for his new club, but he has already caught the eye of the fans. The new signing was given a tour of the stadium and taken to the club's museum. Videos have emerged showing Diomande staring in disbelief at the sight of his two European Cups. He even checked the dates on the trophies, which Nottingham had won in 1979 and 1980.
**Jeronimo Rulli**
* **Age:** 34
* **Position:** Goalkeeper
* **From:** Marseille
* **To:** Manchester City
* **Transfer fee:** €3.5m
Manchester City have signed a new second-choice goalkeeper to replace James Trafford, who left for Leeds this summer due to a lack of playing time. Jeronimo Rulli was previously a City player, having been bought by the club from Real Sociedad in 2016 and loaned to the Spanish club. The goalkeeper, who caught the eye of Pep Guardiola due to his good footwork, never played for the English team and was sold back to Real Sociedad a year later. But now, Enso Maresca, who replaced Guardiola and who values goalkeepers who play well on their feet even more, has brought the 34-year-old goalkeeper back to the club. The club will pay Marseille 3.5 million euros plus bonuses for the transfer of the Argentine goalkeeper, and he has signed a contract with him in the form of a "2+1".
