Toni Kroos says who should win the 2026 Ballon d'Or

Former German and Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has given his opinion on who is the most deserving player to win this year's Ballon d'Or.

According to the former player, PSG player Hvicha Kvaratzhelia should win the prestigious award of the year:

"Hvicha Kvaratzhelia should win the Ballon d'Or! For me, he is the only favorite. Stars like Messi, Bellingham, Mbappe and Rodri, who played at the World Cup, did not have a particularly bright season for their clubs. Hvicha, both last year and now, is not only the best player, but also plays for the best team in the world," Kroos wrote on his social media page.

For your information, the Ballon d'Or award ceremony will take place in London on October 26, 2026. The current winner of this award is PSG player Ousmane Dembele.
