Those selling 37.4 million soums of counterfeit money for 7.5 million have been detained
In the city of Namangan, two individuals were detained while selling 37.4 million soums worth of counterfeit banknotes to a conditional buyer for 7.5 million soums. During subsequent searches and inspections, more counterfeit money was found, bringing the total identified amount to 51.5 million soums.

According to the State Security Service, the operational event was carried out in cooperation with the SSS departments for Jizzakh and Namangan regions, as well as customs authorities.
During the event, a case of manufacturing and selling counterfeit banknotes in denominations of 20,000, 50,000, 100,000, and 200,000 soums was detected.
Two individuals, one born in 1989 residing in Pop district, and another born in 1999 residing in Izboskan district, were caught with material evidence while selling 37.4 million soums of counterfeit money to a conditional buyer.
During a personal search of them and an inspection of the cabin of the "Lacetti" car they were driving, it was revealed that there was an additional total of 6.4 million soums of counterfeit money.
During the operational event, the residence of the citizen from Izboskan was also inspected. An additional 7.7 million soums of counterfeit money was found there.
Additionally, 145 pieces of white paper with images of various banknotes printed on them, a computer, a color printer, and other items were seized from the residence in a procedural manner.
A criminal case has been initiated against these individuals regarding this situation. Measures are being taken within the framework of the investigation to identify their potential criminal connections.
