Uzbekistan youth national team defeats Syria by a large margin and qualifies for the U-20 Asian Cup

The Uzbekistan national team played its next match in the qualifying stage for the youth (U-20) Asian Cup, which will be held in China in 2027.

In the next match of Group B, the youth of Uzbekistan, managed by Jamoliddin Rakhmatullayev, took the field against the Syrian national team and achieved a confident 3:0 victory.

As early as the 10th minute of the match, Diyor Ermanov opened the score and put his team ahead. Near the end of regular time, more precisely in the 81st minute, Quvonchbek Abrayev doubled the lead. In the 90+4th minute added by the referee, Davron Tulaganov accurately converted a penalty, setting the final score.

Thanks to this victory, Jamoliddin Rakhmatullayev's players accumulated 9 points, took 1st place in the group, and won a ticket to the main stage of the Asian Cup.

Also, the Indian youth national team, which collected 6 points in the group, advanced to the Asian Cup in China from 2nd place. Syria (3 points) and Bangladesh (0 points) completed their participation in the qualifiers.

The tournament will be held in China from March 24 to April 10, 2027. The teams that reach the semi-finals (the top four) in the Asian Cup will win the right to participate in the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Significantly, the Uzbekistan youth national team has automatically qualified as hosts for this mini-World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
