The Uzbekistan national team defeated Bangladesh 2-0 in the first match of the 2027 AFC U20 Cup qualifiers in China.

Uzbekistan made a successful start to the 2027 AFC U20 Cup qualifying campaign with a victory.

On Monday in Tashkent, Uzbekistan defeated Bangladesh 2-0 in a Group B match, according to the Asian Football Confederation.

Uzbekistan took the lead in the 19th minute. After Aslbek Abdurasulov's shot was blocked, the ball rebounded to Kuvanyshbek Saidaliev. His subsequent shot, deflected off Bangladesh defender Md Raisul Islam Rahid, found the target.

The home team scored their second goal in the first minute of the second half. Saidaliev made a precise pass into the penalty area, where Kuvonchbek Abrayev headed the ball home with ease.

In the other Group B match, India secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Syria.

The Syrian team, the 1994 Asian Champions, started the match more actively, but the Indian players demonstrated a solid defensive performance. The first half ended goalless.

After the break, Syria continued their attacks. In the 69th minute, Ahmad Khalaf sent the ball into the net, but the goal was disallowed for offside. Two minutes later, the same player headed the ball off the crossbar after a pass from Alan Mama.

India capitalized on their opportunity in the 86th minute. Singamayum Shami, receiving a pass from Md. Arbash, capitalized on a defensive error by the Syrian defense to score, giving his team three points.
