The Uzbek Melon Festival kicked off in Minsk today and will run until August 30. Guests can expect tastings of various varieties of the famous Uzbek melon, along with traditional music and dancing. Traditional Uzbek cuisine will also be on display. The festival introduces residents and visitors to the Belarusian capital to Uzbekistan's rich cultural and culinary heritage.
