Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On August 16, at 7:00 p.m., a major street dance festival, Red Bull Dance Your Style, will be held in Tashkent, with the support of Uzbekistan Creative Park, on the territory of the State Academic Bolshoi Theater named after Alisher Navoi. At it, the audience will choose the national champion, who will represent Uzbekistan at the world final in Switzerland. Registration for participants is open on the project website. Admission is free for spectators. The event is 18+.
One of the largest international street dance championships, Red Bull Dance Your Style, is returning to Uzbekistan. On August 16 at 7:00 p.m. in Tashkent, with the support of Uzbekistan Creative Park, 16 of the country's strongest dancers will meet in the national finals, competing for the right to defend the honor of Uzbekistan on the world stage at the State Academic Bolshoi Theater named after Alisher Navoi. There will be no usual jury and pre-prepared performances here: participants will have to improvise to world-famous musical hits, and the audience will choose the winner of each battle and the new national champion.
Red Bull Dance Your Style is an international dance competition in a one-on-one format, uniting representatives of various street dance styles. It will feature representatives of hip-hop, popping, krump, vogue and many other styles. Dancers do not know in advance what song will be played during the battle, so they will have to instantly adapt to the music, improvise and win the attention of the audience.
The main feature of Red Bull Dance Your Style is the absence of a professional jury. The winner of each battle is determined by the audience by raising a red or blue card. It is the audience that decides who will continue the competition, go to the next stage and ultimately be awarded the title of champion of Uzbekistan.
The 16 strongest dancers of the country will participate in the national final. They will be determined based on the results of the qualifying round, which will be held in Tashkent on August 14. Registration for participants has already opened on the official website of the project.
Red Bull Dance Your Style has been held since 2019 and brings together dance communities from all over the world. In 2026, competitions will be held in 57 countries, among which Uzbekistan will participate for the second time. The winners of the national finals will have the opportunity to represent their country at the world finals in Switzerland and compete for the international championship title.
The return of Red Bull Dance Your Style to Uzbekistan will not only be a significant event for the local dance community, but also a grand show for the audience.
