Tashkent to Host Red Bull Dance Your Style National Final

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) – On August 16, 2026, at 7:00 PM, the Alisher Navoi State Academic Grand Theatre in Tashkent will be the venue for the national final of the Red Bull Dance Your Style international street dance championship. This event, supported by Uzbekistan Creative Park, will see the victor earn the right to represent Uzbekistan at the world final in Switzerland, as announced by the organizers.

Sixteen of Uzbekistan's most skilled dancers will vie for the national title. These finalists will emerge from qualifying rounds scheduled for August 14, 2026, also in Tashkent. Aspiring participants can register via the project's official website. The event is open to spectators aged 18 and above, with free admission.

Red Bull Dance Your Style is characterized by its one-on-one battle format, uniting dancers from diverse street dance disciplines such such as hip-hop, popping, krump, and voguing. A defining element of the competition is the requirement for participants to improvise their moves to spontaneously chosen music tracks, rather than performing pre-choreographed routines.

A distinctive feature of this championship is the absence of a professional judging panel. Instead, the audience plays a crucial role, casting votes with red and blue cards to determine the winner of each battle, ultimately deciding who will be crowned the national champion.

The Red Bull Dance Your Style championship, which commenced in 2019, has fostered connections within dance communities globally. For 2026, competitions are being held in 57 nations, with Uzbekistan hosting its national final for the second year in a row.

Organizers emphasized that this event is more than just a competition for the nation's premier dancers; it is also a significant spectacle where attendees can cheer for the participants and collectively choose Uzbekistan's representative on the international stage.
