US economy is larger than that of five major countries combined
The gap between the US and China and the rest of the countries is very large
The US accounts for approximately a quarter of the global GDP. The size of its economy is higher than the total figure of Germany, Japan, Great Britain, India, and France combined.
The second-placed Chinese economy is more than four times larger than that of Germany, which ranks third.
In Asia, there are other large economies besides China and Japan. In particular, the forecast estimates:
India's GDP - $4.06 trillion;
South Korea's - $2.25 trillion;
Indonesia's - $1.48 trillion.
While India and Indonesia are distinguished by huge consumer markets, South Korea has a strong industrial base.
Brazil's $2.65 trillion economy accounts for nearly half of South America's total figure. Australia, with a GDP of $2.11 trillion, forms the main part of Oceania's economy.
Investments in artificial intelligence stimulate growth in the US
Increasing investments in the field of artificial intelligence in the US are boosting demand for servers, software, data processing centers, and energy infrastructure.
Training and running advanced artificial intelligence models require massive computing power. This is creating new opportunities for companies manufacturing related equipment and building infrastructure.
Consumer spending is also supporting economic growth. According to the presented data, in the second quarter of 2026, the US economy grew by 2.2 percent adjusted for inflation and annualized. Household expenditures, investments, and exports contributed to this.
