The Tax Committee has clarified who must pay the social tax to accumulate pensionable service.
In Uzbekistan, in designated cases, the payment of the social tax allows the period to be counted when calculating employment history. This was reported by the Tax Committee.
The self-employed, members of dehkan farms, and owners of household plots can pay the social tax voluntarily. This option is also available for citizens of Uzbekistan who work abroad under an employment contract.
In addition, citizens have the right to pay the social tax for their non-working spouses. The minimum amount of the voluntary payment is one basic calculating value per year.
For a number of categories, this payment is mandatory. These include members of the "Hunarmand" association, apprentices of "Usta-Shogird" schools during their work period up to the age of 25, heads of dehkan farms, and employees of individual entrepreneurs.
The Tax Committee emphasized that the payment of the tax in the designated cases affects the formation of citizens' pension rights.
