Currently, the woman is receiving treatment in the hospital. According to the internal affairs authorities, 2nd to 3rd-A degree burns covering 6-8 percent of her body surface were identified. A forensic medical examination has been ordered regarding the situation, the scene of the incident has been inspected, and physical evidence has been seized.
On September 8, a criminal case was initiated by the Investigation Department under the Department of Internal Affairs of the Sharof Rashidov district under Article 109, Part 1 of the Criminal Code. The investigation is ongoing.
According to Mehribon, she had been living with her husband for a year. They have one daughter. However, the man had not previously told his relatives about his marriage and child.
According to Mehribon, after her husband was imprisoned on May 21, 2026, he informed his family that he had a wife and child and asked his relatives to look after Mehribon.
"There was no problem between us and our daughter-in-law..."
The man's sister, Zarnigor Yuldasheva, took Mehribon and her daughter and began living with them in a separate apartment.
Mehribon claims that her mother-in-law used her documents to obtain several expensive pieces of jewelry and products on credit.
According to her, she brought Mehribon and her child to her home in June. During the period they lived together, there were no serious disagreements between them.
"We lived well. There were no fights, no arguments, nothing," Zarnigor said.
According to Zarnigor, there was a disagreement between Mehribon and her unmarried sister, Ruxshona.
