The President discussed the strategic partnership with the US Senator

On September 3, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Steve Daines, a US Congress Senator and co-chair of the Senate Central Asia Caucus.

At the beginning of the meeting, the US Senator sincerely congratulated the head of our state and our people on the 35th anniversary of the country's independence, wishing peace, tranquility, prosperity, and progress.

During the conversation, issues of further strengthening the strategic partnership and developing inter-parliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and the US were reviewed.

It was noted with satisfaction that in recent years, bilateral relations have been brought to an unprecedentedly high level, and dialogues and exchange of delegations have gained momentum.

Special attention was paid to expanding trade, economic, and investment cooperation. Large-scale projects are being consistently implemented in the fields of energy, critical minerals, transport, agriculture, digital technologies, and industry.

Particular emphasis was placed on the prospects for further development of relations between the regions, specifically with the state of Montana, represented by the senator.

An exchange of views also took place on cooperation within the "C5+1" format and topical issues of international and regional significance.
