The number of people arriving in Uzbekistan for permanent residence has increased by 2.5 times.

From January to June 2026, 1,649 people arrived in Uzbekistan from foreign countries for permanent residence, according to data from the National Statistics Committee.

The number of people arriving in Uzbekistan for permanent residence has increased 2.5-fold.

Compared to the same period in 2025, this figure has increased by 976 people, representing a 2.5-fold increase.

According to available data, the majority of those arriving from abroad are citizens of the following countries: Russia (580), Kazakhstan (362), Tajikistan (147), and 560 from other countries.

Regionally, the largest number of arrivals was recorded in the city of Tashkent (1,089), the Tashkent region (269), and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (115). Next come Navoi region (31), Samarkand (22), Khorezm (21), Surkhandarya (18), Syrdarya (15), Fergana (15), Bukhara (13), Namangan (13), Jizzakh (12), Andijan (11) and Kashkadarya region (5 people).
