The number of doctors in Uzbekistan has exceeded 112 thousand - there are more men

As of January 1, 2026, 112,420 doctors were operating in Uzbekistan. Men accounted for 53.6 percent of them, while women made up 46.4 percent.

According to the National Statistics Committee, the number of doctors has increased by 4,923, or 4.6 percent, compared to 2024.

Out of the total number of doctors, 60,282 are men and 52,138 are women. Thus, male doctors outnumber their female colleagues by 8,144.

Also, as of this date, there was an average of 29.4 doctors per 10,000 population in the country.
