In Uzbekistan, the number of men who became fathers after 70 was announced.

In the first half of 2026, 373,389 babies were born in Uzbekistan. The National Statistics Committee released birth data for the period from January to June.

According to the published statistics, fatherhood was distributed by age group as follows:

* Under 25: 34,526 fathers

* 25 to 39: 309,182 fathers

* 40 to 59: 29,403 fathers

* 60 to 69: 249 fathers

* 70 and older: 29 fathers

According to statistics, the average life expectancy of the permanent population of Uzbekistan in 2025 reached 75.4 years. This figure represents a nine-year increase compared to 1991.

A recent census showed that over 39 million people live in Uzbekistan. Of these, 12.5 million are children, and 4.8 million are elderly.

Preliminary census results also indicate that the male population of Uzbekistan is 19.77 million, accounting for 50.6% of the total population, while the female population is 19.28 million, or 49.4%.
