The largest Center for Contemporary Art in Central Asia has opened in Tashkent
The grand opening ceremony of the Center for Contemporary Art — "CCA Tashkent" was held in Tashkent.
The center is located in the building of a former diesel power station built in 1912, which now houses exhibition halls, a library, educational, and research spaces.
The architectural transformation of the building was carried out by the world-renowned bureau "Studio KO".
According to Saida Mirziyoyeva, "CCA Tashkent" will serve to strengthen cooperation between creators and international organizations, and to bring Uzbek talents to a new audience.
The project was realized on the initiative of the President and through the efforts of the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation.
