The Indian Prime Minister will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan.
At the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan on August 29-30, according to a statement from the head of state's press service.
The Indian Prime Minister will arrive in Uzbekistan on a state visit.
The upcoming talks will reportedly focus on further deepening and strengthening the Uzbek-Indian strategic partnership and multilateral cooperation.
"Particular attention will be paid to expanding regular political dialogue and cultural and humanitarian ties, as well as promoting specific cooperation programs and projects in areas such as trade, energy, the chemical industry, geology, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, mechanical engineering, and other economic sectors," the press release stated.
The parties will also exchange views on current issues in international and regional policy and discuss cooperation within multilateral formats.
Following the visit, a significant package of bilateral documents is planned to be signed.
