The first stage of the Boysun-Denov road was put into operation
The first phase of the 111-kilometer Darband-Boysun-Elbayan highway reconstruction project, spanning 5 to 32.5 kilometers, was completed and put into operation on the eve of Independence Day. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev ordered the road to be repaired in 2023, when the head of state personally drove to inspect the condition of the road.

The first stage of the construction and repair project of the Darband-Boysun-Elbayan highway, with a total length of 111 kilometers, in Surkhandarya region has been completed.
On the eve of Independence Day, on August 30, the 5-32.5-kilometer section of the project was fully completed and put into operation. As part of this stage, 7 bridges and an 8-kilometer pedestrian walkway with a night lighting system were also built.
On this occasion, a solemn ceremony was held at the overpass located at kilometer 7.1 of the project. It was attended by the governor of Surkhandarya region Ulugbek Kasimov, representatives of the Nuroniyil, activists, officials, project contractors and the general public.
It is reported that the bridge, where the ceremony was held, is 60 meters long, 15.7 meters wide, and 9 meters high above ground level.
The project is being implemented by an international contractor - the Azerbaijani company "Lankaran Yol Tikinti". The project was funded by the Asian Development Bank.
We would like to remind you that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during his visit to Surkhandarya in March 2023, gave an order to reconstruct the Boysun-Denov road. At that time, the head of state himself drove a car to personally inspect the condition of this road, which was full of potholes.
