The first bell rang in schools — photo report

Photo report on the first bell ringing in schools

On September 2, the first bells rang in all schools of Uzbekistan, signaling the beginning of the new academic year. This year, each child admitted to the first grade was given a “President's Gift”. This gift consisted of 12 types of school supplies and a school bag. The “Daryo” publication previously published an article about what the “President's Gift” includes.

It is worth noting that in 2026, more than 795 thousand children were admitted to the first grade. In the 2026/27 academic year, more than 550 thousand teachers will educate more than 6.7 million students in a total of 10 thousand 225 secondary schools in Uzbekistan.
