On August 19, 2026, in the Fergana Region, Khokim Khairullo Bozorov received a delegation led by Alexey Dremuchev, Director General of the Rosatom Central Asia Regional Center.

During the meeting, the parties discussed strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation, implementing promising investment projects, and localizing production. The Russian side presented an overview of Rosatom's activities in several key areas.

These included nuclear energy, mechanical engineering, nuclear medicine, digital technologies, and the production of modern new materials.

The meeting participants emphasized that Uzbekistan, including the Fergana Region, has created a favorable investment climate and possesses significant industrial potential. The parties discussed the possibility of launching a pilot project in the medical field, as well as joint initiatives in the fuel and energy sector, energy storage, composite materials production, specialist training, and transport and logistics.

The regional governor confirmed his readiness to support mutually beneficial initiatives and joint projects.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to develop a roadmap outlining priority areas of cooperation and the implementation of joint projects.
