Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) —

Fergana Region Governor Khairullo Bozorov held talks with the heads of Afghan companies Emerald Diamond Trading, Kam Air, and Tojmahal Petroleum. The meeting focused on joint investment projects and expanding trade and economic cooperation, according to the Fergana Regional Khokimiyat.

The meeting was attended by Abdul Hamidi Anyuri, Director of Emerald Diamond Trading; Atilla Azimi, Director of Kam Air; Abdul Latif Navruzi, Director of Tojmahal Petroleum, as well as their partners from the Fergana Region.

These talks were a logical continuation of the agreements reached during the visit of the Fergana delegation, led by the Khokim, to Afghanistan on July 26-27. Official and business meetings were held at that time, resulting in the signing of agreements on various areas of cooperation, as well as the opening of Fergana Region trading houses in Kabul and Mazar-i-Sharif.

During the current meeting, participants discussed specific steps to implement previously reached agreements, develop new investment projects, and deepen trade and economic ties.

As emphasized during the talks, relations between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan have reached a qualitatively new level in recent years, with particular attention being paid to developing mutual trust and economic partnership.

Afghan business representatives praised the industrial and entrepreneurial potential of the Fergana Region, expressing interest in developing cooperation in sectors such as trade, agriculture, aviation, energy, and logistics. New joint initiatives were also presented during the meeting.

Khairullo Bozorov assured of the Fergana Region's readiness to provide comprehensive support for the implementation of joint projects. Following the negotiations, the parties agreed to accelerate the implementation of investment initiatives, increase mutual trade volumes, and further develop bilateral cooperation.
