Tajikistan Delegation Visits Historical Monuments of Bukhara

As part of their visit to Uzbekistan, a delegation of the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan visited the historical and architectural monuments of Bukhara.

The guests were told about the history of the ancient city, the features of its architecture, and its cultural heritage. This was reported by the press service of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.

During the visit, members of the delegation toured the Ismail Samani Mausoleum and the Ark Fortress — two iconic monuments of the historical part of Bukhara.

The representatives of Tajikistan were informed about the construction history of these sites, their architectural characteristics, and their significance for the region's cultural heritage.

The Ismail Samani Mausoleum is considered one of the outstanding examples of Central Asian architecture, reflecting the building traditions of the 9th–10th centuries.

For many centuries, the Ark Fortress served as the residence of the rulers of Bukhara and the center of state administration. Today, it remains one of the city's important historical monuments.

The guests highly praised the preservation of the ancient structures' architectural appearance, as well as the historical heritage and atmosphere of Bukhara.
