It has become known that the court of appeal sent a ruling to the prosecutor of the city of Fergana to resolve the issue of initiating a criminal case against other responsible persons.
In Fergana, other responsible persons may also be prosecuted in connection with the electrocution of a 6-year-old child in a state kindergarten.
As reported, by the verdict of the Fergana City Criminal Court, the kindergarten teacher, the clerk of "Fakhr" LLC, and the electrician of the Fergana District Power Supply Enterprise were found guilty of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 116 (Improper performance of professional duties) of the Criminal Code, and were given appropriate sentences.
Also, according to the court's verdict, it was ordered to recover 45 million soums from the defendants in favor of the child's father as moral damages.
In addition, the court of appeal issued a ruling to the prosecutor of the city of Fergana to resolve the issue of initiating a criminal case against the head of the kindergarten, the head of "Fakhr" LLC, and officials of the district power supply enterprise.
Currently, the child's father has filed a supervisory appeal with the Fergana Regional Court, and during the judicial proceedings, the punishment and the amount of damages may be reviewed.
As a reminder, Kun.uz previously reported on the investigation into the fact that in state kindergarten No. 66, located in the city of Fergana, a 6-year-old child fell into an underground, unfenced high-voltage transformer substation and suffered serious injuries. The child's father contacted Kun.uz again, stating that his son still suffers from the consequences of the burns, the relevant organizations are evading responsibility, and he is dissatisfied with the court's verdict.
"On that day, I dropped my son off at the kindergarten healthy. Let them take my son, whether they send him abroad or treat him here, let them cure him and return him to us healthy. When we call about buying medicine, those who committed the crime do not pick up the phone. If they want to, they answer; if they don't, they don't."
