The main part of the 8.8 billion soum lawsuit filed by the Kashkadarya Regional Ecology Department against the Shurtan Oil and Gas Production Association has been dismissed. The court noted that the regulatory body had deviated from the subject of the inspection and that the calculations were not supported by evidence. As a result, the amount to be recovered was reduced to 676 thousand soums.

The court did not satisfy the lawsuit of the Ecology Department of Kashkadarya region to recover 8.8 billion soums in ecological compensation from the Shurtan Oil and Gas Production Department.
During the court proceedings, it was determined that the regulatory body had exceeded the scope of the inspection, and the calculations for the main part of the lawsuit were not supported by sufficient evidence. In addition, the inadmissibility of using evidence obtained in violation of the law was also taken into account.
As a result, the court rejected the main part of the 8.8 billion soum lawsuit. According to the ruling, it was determined that a compensation payment of only 676,133 soums would be recovered.
