The Competition Committee is studying cases of compensation payments to passengers when domestic flights are delayed

Complaints against airlines have increased fourfold in one year. People are dissatisfied with flights being delayed for hours, the lack of timely and accurate information, and the quality of service. The Competition Committee is investigating cases of compensation payments to passengers when domestic flights are delayed due to the carrier's fault. Consumers with complaints are requested to contact the committee.

"According to analyses, in some cases, passengers were not offered compensation or alternative solutions for flights delayed due to the carrier's fault. This seriously affects citizens' time, funds, and plans.

The Committee is studying the cases of compensation payments to passengers and compliance with consumer rights when domestic flights are delayed due to the carrier's fault, based on open sources.

In light of the above, we request airlines to fully provide information on their digital platforms and bring them into compliance with the legislation, and we ask citizens to contact the Competition Committee regarding their proposals and objections in this area," the official statement reads.
