According to the Committee, the increase in the number of appeals indicates the effective functioning of consumer rights protection mechanisms and the increasing activity of the population.
In order to simplify the process of considering appeals, the opportunity to send an appeal through the "Consumer Appeal" electronic platform has been created.
Over the past three and a half years, 116,105 appeals, or 86.7 percent, have been resolved positively. 73 percent of them have been satisfied, 25 percent have been given legal explanations, and 2 percent have been sent to authorized bodies.
Studies have also been conducted in more than 20 areas, including utilities, medicine and pharmaceuticals, trade and consumer services, telecommunications, insurance, and financial services. The identified shortcomings have been eliminated, and appropriate measures have been taken against certain entities that committed violations of the law.
As a result of the measures taken by the Committee, 399.3 billion soums of overpaid funds from more than 11.7 million consumers have been recalculated in their favor.
