399.3 billion soums were recalculated to consumers.
The Competition Committee received a total of 137,785 appeals from 2023 to July 2026. These appeals covered issues of housing and communal services and transport, communications, finance, social services, and advertising.
The number of appeals was distributed by year as follows: 20,691 in 2023, 30,070 in 2024, 53,670 in 2025, and 33,354 in the first seven months of 2026.
The bulk of the appeals concerned housing and communal services and transport (68,326), trade and catering (39,397), as well as communications, finance, and social services (25,965).
According to the Committee, the increase in the number of appeals indicates the effective functioning of consumer rights protection mechanisms and the increasing activity of the population in this regard.
In order to simplify the process of considering appeals, an electronic platform "Consumer Appeal" was launched, which created the opportunity to send appeals.
Over the past three and a half years, 116,105 appeals, or 86.7 percent, have been resolved positively. 73 percent of them were satisfied, 25 percent were given legal explanations, and the remaining 2 percent were sent to authorized bodies.
In addition, studies were conducted in more than 20 areas, including utilities, medicine and pharmaceuticals, trade and household services, telecommunications, insurance, and financial services.
The identified shortcomings were eliminated, and appropriate measures were taken against certain entities that committed violations of the law.
As a result of the measures taken by the committee, 399.3 billion soums overpaid from more than 11.7 million consumers were recalculated in their favor.
