"The average monthly salary of graduates is 4.9 million soums" — Director of the National Agency for Education Quality Assurance

According to the Director of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education, Bakhtiyor Yuldoshev, the average monthly salary of graduates in Uzbekistan in the period from July 2025 to June 2026 was 4.9 million soums. He made this statement at a press conference in Tashkent on August 26.

According to the "Daryo" correspondent, journalists were presented with the "Graduate Quality Index" platform at the event. This rating includes the labor market results of 249,432 graduates of 170 universities.

According to Bakhtiyor Yuldoshev, "According to calculations, the average monthly income of officially employed graduates amounted to 4.9 million soums. This is a good result. The platform also provides figures for each university and student. The average rate of employment for students after graduation in the republic is 2 months and 27 days. For example, in the UK this process takes 15 months, in Australia 13 months, and in China 12 months."

According to the analysis, the highest average salary by region was observed in Tashkent city - 6.6 million soums. Among the regions, the average indicator was relatively high in Navoi and Tashkent regions, amounting to 5 million soums.

However, salaries much higher than the average were recorded in some universities. The universities with the highest monthly salaries are:

* Branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Higher Education "All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography named after S.A. Gerasimov" in Tashkent - 23.4 million soums;

* Inha University in Tashkent - 12.6 million soums;

* Tashkent International Westminster University - 12.5 million soums;

* University of World Economy and Diplomacy - 10.6 million soums;

* Tashkent State University of Economics - 10.3 million soums.

The head of the agency noted that these figures are officially recorded incomes.

The average incomes by educational field are as follows: creative (sports) fields - 6.33 million soums; applied sciences - 5.5 million soums; social and humanitarian sciences - 4.61 million soums; medical sciences - 4.43 million soums.

The largest number of graduates falls on the city of Tashkent - a total of 80,742 people, which is almost a third of all graduates in the republic.

The average time it takes for graduates to find a job across the republic is 3 months and 5 days. The agency also studied differences in the form of ownership of higher education institutions. According to the results, graduates of non-state universities found a job in an average of 2 months and 10 days, graduates of state universities in 2 months and 29 days, and those who studied at branches of foreign universities in 3 months and 20 days.

According to the agency's report, "The average share of graduates who have been stably employed in the republic over the past six months was 42.9 percent."

The highest indicator in terms of forms of ownership was recorded by graduates of branches of foreign universities - 49.8 percent. In private universities, this figure was 46.7 percent, and in state universities - 42.1 percent.

Earlier, the Minister of Higher Education, Kungirotboy Sharipov, said that the issue of merging universities with graduate employment below a certain percentage was being considered or closing them.
