The amount of the tourist tax will be revised

The amount of the tourist tax in Uzbekistan will be revised in accordance with the economic characteristics of the sector. This was stated in the Presidential Decree on the implementation of the tasks set during the open dialogue with entrepreneurs.

According to the Decree, the amount of the tourist tax will be determined based on the selling price of rooms and places in accommodation facilities, and a single rate will be introduced for all.

In addition, mandatory requirements for parking for hotels will also be revised, in particular, these requirements will be determined based on infrastructure.

It is planned to provide tour operators with a discount of up to 30 percent on entrance tickets to cultural heritage sites purchased for tourist groups of more than 10 people.

A draft Presidential Decree containing the above should be ready within three months.
