The 15 countries with the most arable land in the world have been revealed
India has been ranked as the country with the largest arable land area in the world, with about 154 million hectares of such land. The United States, Russia and China are next.

The 15 countries with the largest arable land in the world have been identified.
Based on data from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), a ranking of the largest countries in terms of arable land area was compiled.
According to it, India took first place with about 154 million hectares of land. The United States, with an area of about 152 million hectares, ranked second in the ranking.
Russia took third place with 122 million hectares, and China took fourth place with 108 million hectares.
Brazil was next with 55.6 million hectares, Argentina with 40.4 million hectares, and Canada with 38.2 million hectares.
The arable land area in Nigeria is 36.9 million hectares. In Ukraine, this figure is 32.9 million hectares, and in Australia - about 31 million hectares.
The top fifteen countries in the ranking also include Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Sudan, Mexico and Indonesia. The area of arable land in them ranges from about 30 million hectares in Pakistan to 17.8 million hectares in Indonesia.
According to the FAO definition, arable land includes areas under temporary agricultural crops, temporary grasslands and pastures, as well as land temporarily left fallow.
Areas under perennial crops and permanent pastures are not included in this indicator.
