The money in the amount of $10,000, which fell out in the Tashkent metro, was found by a passenger. The press service of "Toshkent Metropoliteni" published a video of the incident.

The recording shows money falling out of the side bag of a man walking in a stream of passengers. The man did not notice this and continued walking. For some time, the money lay on the floor, and no one paid attention to it.

After a while, a female passenger approached, picked up the money, and handed it over to the officers of the Metro Security Department on duty at the station.

"JSC 'Toshkent Metropoliteni' expresses its sincere gratitude to the citizen who showed honesty, integrity, and high civic responsibility, as well as to the officers of the MSD who actively participated in this process and conscientiously performed their official duties," the statement said.

It had been stated that the money was found not by a passenger, but by an officer of the internal affairs bodies.

As indicated in the ministry's material, a citizen of Kazakhstan, who came to the Sergeli district to buy a car, lost $10,000. They were found by internal affairs officers on duty in the Tashkent metro.

After conducting the necessary verification and search measures, the rightful owner of the funds was identified, and the 10,000 US dollars were fully returned to the owner in accordance with the established procedure.

As the press secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Shokhrukh Giyosov, told Kun.uz, the expression "found" in the material was used in a figurative sense.

"Here, the expression 'found' is used in a figurative sense. Any item that enters the lost and found room at transport facilities is returned to the owner," he says.

According to Shokhrukh Giyosov, since the beginning of the year to date, in more than 580 cases, citizens have applied regarding the loss of material valuables in the metro, train, and airplane. All of them were found and returned to their owners.
