Temperatures will drop over the weekend

Temperatures are expected to drop in Uzbekistan over the weekend.

According to Uzgidromet, on Friday, August 21, hot weather will persist throughout the country during the day, reaching 36-39 degrees, and in some places in the southern regions - up to 41-43 degrees. The weather will be partly cloudy in most parts of the republic, only in the Republic of Karakalpakstan there is a possibility of short-term rain in some places in the second half of the day.

The weather is forecast to be partly cloudy throughout the republic over the weekend. The temperature will drop to 18-21 degrees at night, 32-35 degrees during the day, and 37-40 degrees in the south. Most regions will experience rainless weather, only in the Fergana Valley on Saturday, August 22, short-term rain is possible in some places.

The wind speed is 7-12 meters/second, in some places it can increase to 13-18 meters/second. On August 22, the wind speed in the southern regions of the republic is likely to reach 22-25 meters/second. In some places of the republic, the wind speed will increase with dust.

The weather in Tashkent will be partly cloudy, occasionally changeable, precipitation is not expected. The wind will blow from the east at a speed of 3-8 meters/second, increasing to 10-12 meters/second, in some places of the city it is possible to observe dust.

On Friday, the air temperature during the day will be 36-38 degrees, and on weekends - 32-35 degrees. At night, the temperature will remain around 18-21 degrees.

Previous forecasts indicated that relatively cool air masses may enter the territory of Uzbekistan by the end of August. As a result, daytime temperatures are expected to gradually drop to 25–30 degrees.
