**Uzbekistan: Weather forecast for the weekend of August 14-16 – a decrease in heat is expected on Sunday**

According to Uzhydromet, mostly hot weather will persist in Uzbekistan over the coming weekend, from August 14 to 16, but a slight drop in temperatures is expected on Sunday.

Today and tomorrow, August 14 and 15, daytime temperatures across the country will range from 37 to 40 degrees Celsius. In the southern regions and desert areas, temperatures may rise to 41 to 43 degrees Celsius in places.

On Sunday, August 16, a slight decrease in heat is forecast: temperatures will drop by 2 to 3 degrees. Overnight temperatures throughout the weekend will range from 21 to 26 degrees Celsius.

Partly cloudy skies are expected, with no significant precipitation. The exception will be mountainous areas, where short-term showers and thunderstorms are possible in some areas this afternoon.

In some areas of the republic, wind gusts could reach 13-18 m/s, which could be accompanied by dusty drifting snow in places.

**Weather in Tashkent:**

In the capital, Tashkent, partly cloudy skies with no precipitation are expected throughout the weekend. Nighttime temperatures will be 23-26°C. During the day today and tomorrow, August 14 and 15, temperatures will rise to 38-40°C. On Sunday, August 16, a slight drop to 36-38°C is expected. Easterly winds will blow at 3-8 m/s, with gusts of up to 10-14 m/s and dusty drifting snow possible in places.
