Tashkent Metro is in talks to purchase Chinese trains.

The Tashkent Metro is considering purchasing Chinese trains.

Representatives of the Tashkent Metro are studying China's experience in creating modern rolling stock and are negotiating the potential use of Chinese trains in Uzbekistan.

Deputy Director of the enterprise, Yuldash Yusupov, told Kun.uz in an interview that metro employees regularly visit countries with developed metro systems. The purpose of these visits is to study advanced technologies, operating conditions, and methods for organizing safe and comfortable passenger transportation. As part of this initiative, specialists have already familiarized themselves with the experience of European countries, Turkey, Russia, and Kazakhstan.

Particular attention is being paid to China, where specialists are studying the developing infrastructure, production processes, and new rolling stock models. Tashkent Metro representatives are evaluating the comfort of Chinese trains and the prospects for their implementation in Uzbekistan. Negotiations are currently underway regarding cooperation and the possible future use of new types of carriages manufactured in China.
