Tanzila Narbaeva and Rustam Emomali discussed inter-parliamentary cooperation
A delegation led by the Chairman of the Upper House of the Parliament of Tajikistan, Rustam Emomali, visited Uzbekistan. As part of the visit, a meeting was held with the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbaeva, and a new "roadmap" for the development of cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries was signed.

A delegation led by the Chairman of the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan, Rustam Emomali, visited Uzbekistan on November 4. As part of the visit, a meeting was held with the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbaeva, where issues of developing inter-parliamentary ties, trade and economic cooperation, as well as cultural and humanitarian relations were considered.
In the first part of the visit, the delegation members visited the "New Uzbekistan" park and laid flowers at the foot of the Independence Monument. They also got acquainted with the activities of the directorate for the "Construction of New Tashkent City". During the visit to New Uzbekistan University and the Center of Islamic Civilization, information was provided on the work being carried out in our country regarding education and science, as well as the preservation and promotion of the rich historical and cultural heritage to the world.
After that, a meeting took place with the delegation led by Tanzila Narbaeva and Rustam Emomali.
At the meeting, issues of expanding trade and economic ties, developing industrial cooperation, and improving transport and border infrastructure were also discussed. Views were also exchanged on the prospects of establishing cooperation between the cities of Tashkent and Dushanbe.
The parties also emphasized the importance of the rational use of water resources, expanding education and innovation sectors, as well as cultural and humanitarian ties.
At the end of the meeting, a "roadmap" for cooperation for 2027–2028 was signed between the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan. This document will serve to further strengthen practical cooperation between the parliaments and enrich the strategic partnership of the brotherly countries with new content.
