Strike on five-story building in Zaporizhzhia: five people killed, including two children

According to DW, the acting head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, Mykhailo Semykin, reported on October 10 that five people were killed and 10 others were injured.

"Search and rescue operations continue at the strike sites. There may still be people under the rubble," he wrote on Telegram.

Meanwhile, Ivan Fedorov, co-chairman of the regional defense council, put the number of victims at 11. According to his data, the injured include a 14-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy. The condition of both has been assessed as moderately severe.

Fedorov also stated that two of the injured are in serious condition, and four people have been hospitalized.

As a result of the attack, at least 26 residential buildings were damaged in the Shevchenkivskyi and Voznesenovskyi districts of Zaporizhzhia. Twenty-three of them are multi-story buildings. Damage was also recorded in non-residential buildings.

Russian forces had also struck Zaporizhzhia with guided aerial bombs the previous day.
