Night attack on Zaporizhia: 5 killed, 20 injured
The Russian Armed Forces launched a combined strike on the city of Zaporizhia on the night of August 11, using rockets and aerial bombs. According to the Ukrainian side, at least five people were killed and 20 others were injured to varying degrees in the attack.

Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhia regional military administration, reported via Telegram that the strikes targeted industrial facilities and infrastructure in the regional center. Residential buildings, non-residential buildings and a garage cooperative were also damaged.
The attack resulted in power outages and fires in some areas of the city. Videos posted by Fedorov show buildings and cars engulfed in flames.
Several airstrikes were also sounded in Kiev that night. Ukrainian authorities attributed this to the possible use of ballistic weapons by Russia. According to the Kiev military administration, one person was injured in the capital at 01:20 local time.
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said that a medical team had been dispatched to the Shevchenko district.
In Poltava region, fragments of a drone believed to belong to Russian troops fell on the roof of a multi-storey building. The head of the Poltava regional state administration, Vitaly Dyakivnych, said there were no reports of casualties.
The attacks on Zaporizhia had been carried out the day before. On August 10, the Russian army launched a series of airstrikes on the city, followed by a series of drone strikes. According to Ukrainian sources, at least 26 local residents were injured in those attacks.
