Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Chinese delegation

On September 7, Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the People's Republic of China led by Liu Jianchao, the head of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

According to the President's press service, the high-ranking guest conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of the President of the PRC, Xi Jinping, to the head of state. During the meeting, issues of further expanding multifaceted cooperation and practical partnership between Uzbekistan and China in accordance with the agreements reached at the highest level were discussed. It was noted that in recent years, the relations of all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China have risen to a high level.

It was emphasized that the volume of mutual trade and investment is steadily increasing, and the number of joint projects and enterprises with the participation of leading Chinese companies is growing. Special attention was paid to the issues of strengthening inter-parliamentary and inter-party cooperation. The importance of deepening cooperation in the field of higher and vocational education, including the opening of branches of leading Chinese higher education institutions in our country, was noted.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to adopt a joint "road map" on expanding inter-parliamentary and inter-party cooperation.

On September 6, Liu Jianchao participated in a conference on the topic "The role of political parties in strengthening relations between Central Asia and China" within the framework of the "Central Asia – China" political parties dialogue in Samarkand.
