In Ankara, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The leader of Uzbekistan sincerely congratulated the entire Turkish people on Turkey's national holiday – Republic Day, wishing peace, tranquil development, and prosperity.

"During the dialogue, issues of further strengthening comprehensive strategic partnership relations between the two countries, particularly in political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres, were thoroughly discussed.

Active dialogues conducted at all levels in recent years were noted with great satisfaction. The volume of mutual trade and investments, as well as the number of joint ventures and flights, are consistently growing. Joint events are regularly held in priority areas of cooperation," the report says.

The parties paid special attention to the importance of establishing a high-level council to support business, carefully preparing for the next meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission, expanding the portfolio of promising projects, and consistently continuing practical cooperation in new directions.

The leaders also exchanged views on the schedule of upcoming events and current issues of international and regional importance.
